Ear Candling

This ancient clearing method has been used by the Egyptians, the Chinese, Greeks, and the Hopi Indians of America. Ear candles are quite different from conventional wax candles as they are hollow tubes traditionally made from organic cotton cloths, pure bee’s wax, extracts of honey and pure essential oils.

As they burn, the cone's ingredients turn to vapour and the airflow creates a vibrational effect. Warmth, vibration and vapour massage the ear canal breaking down any blockages. Wax, toxins and impurities are then drawn out by suction from the heat and vacuum effect of the burning cone.

The treatment is a relaxing, soothing and revitalising experience, You lie comfortably on your side on a massage table, with your head supported on a pillow so the ear canal is vertical. The candle is then lit and the non-burning end is placed gently into the outer ear canal. You will then experience a pleasant crackling sound and a warm comfortable feeling as the candle burns.

Ear Candling stimulates the ear's circulatory system and upper lymph system aiding the body's natural healing responses. and has the potential of helping many problems relating to the ear, throat, nose and entire head area. Beneficial results may be obtained for the following problems:

• Excessive wax build-up
• Sinus irritation
• Chronic ear infections (in conjunction with other medical treatment)
• Ringing in the ears
• To clear the head before or after a flight
• Fungal problems

Ear candles may also be used to cleanse and harmonise a person’s energy fields or auras, prior to meditation or trance work.

If you have an ear infection, inflammation of the ear or have had ear surgery then Ear Candling is not recommended. People with grommets, perforated ear drums or disorders of the ear drum should also not have Ear Candling.
